Our Windfall Bond is now available for new account openings

Our Windfall Bond account which earns you interest and entry into a monthly free prize draw with a chance to win between £100 and £50,000 is available for new account openings. Currently paying Bank of England Bank rate minus 1%. Further information can be found here.

Savings: Interest rates for Windfall Bond and Tracker Savings Bond will decrease by 0.25% from 1 March 2025. We will be writing to all customers individually to confirm the new rates.
Mortgages: Tracker mortgages will change on 25 March 2025 and we will write to customers individually with revised payment details where the new rate exceeds the minimum rate (or ‘floor’) already applying to their mortgage.

Open a Windfall Bond savings account online

You're applying to open a Windfall Bond savings account.

Important information about Windfall Bond account opening.

Windfall Bonds qualify for their first monthly free prize draw entry in the second calendar month after successful account opening.

For example, a Windfall Bond account opened in February qualifies for the first draw in April. This means that new account applications must have been received by us, all identity and bank details successfully verified, and the £10,000 deposit received into the new Windfall Bond account by the end of the last working day of the month. Our working days are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Applications received towards the end of a month may not complete all of these steps in time to be open before the end of the month, particularly if we need to request documents to confirm your identity or bank account. This may result in a delay in qualifying for the monthly free prize draw.

In February, our last working day is Friday 28 February and the cut off time for receipt of correctly detailed faster payments to new accounts is 4pm.
