  • Savings: Interest rates for Windfall Bond and Tracker Savings Bond will decrease by 0.25% from 1 December 2024. We will be writing to all customers individually to confirm the new rates.

    Mortgages: Tracker mortgages will change on 25 December 2024 and we will write to customers individually with revised payment details where the new rate exceeds the minimum rate (or ‘floor’) already applying to their mortgage.

Please note:  The Windfall Bond has been withdrawn for new account openings. However the regular monthly draw will continue as normal.


December 2024 - Upcoming Prizes!

In November we had 16,446 qualifying Windfall Bond entries*.

Therefore the number of prizes in December's prize draw are as follows:

This provides a total of 173 prizes for the month of November, worth £137,100.

December's free prize draw is on 13 December 2024.

*Each Windfall Bond requires a £10,000 deposit and details of a nominated bank/building society on record. Newly opened Windfall Bonds qualify for the Monthly Free Prize Draw in the second calendar month after the bond has been opened. for example, a Windfall Bond opened in October would be entered into December's Monthly Free Prize Draw. (Please note that the Windfall Bond has been withdrawn for new account openings)

Our Windfall Bond Monthly Free Draw takes place on the 10th working day of every calendar month.

Confirmation that the draw has occurred, along with a summary of the prizes available in the upcoming Windfall Bond prize draw, is provided in an email to all customers who have registered their email with us.  The winners are then notified separately.

Because of the increased number of Windfall Bond winners, it's no longer practical for us to list them on our website. A list of winners is available four weeks after each monthly draw takes place, and you may request a copy of this list by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Family Building Society, Windfall Bond Monthly Free Draw List, Ebbisham House 30 Church Street, Epsom, Surrey, KT17 4NL.

How winners are notified

Winners of the monthly free prize draw will be notified by us separately using the details held on the relevant Windfall Bond account record by one of the following methods: by email, in writing or by telephone within 10 working days from the date when the monthly draw takes place.

  • If you are a winner of a Level A or a Level B prize, a member of our Family Service Team will contact you to confirm your details, after which the prize money will be paid into your pre-nominated bank account
  • If you are a Level C, D or E prize winner – the prize money will automatically be paid into your pre-nominated account and we will notify you by email or letter.
